In this paper, we have obtained a ground truth data of Leucaena leucocephala dispersed status in Kenting National Park by aerial photo interpretation. We integrated the FORMOSAT-II remote sensing data and leaf area index of 38 plot sites with dispersed degrees of Leucaena leucocephala to establish the relationship of NDVI and LAI. The characteristics of reflection spectral in different seasons and the distribution of invading degrees of Leucaena leucocephala were discussed and the distribution of Leucaena leucocephala would be established by the NDVI-LAI model. The remote sensing monitoring system of invading distribution for alien plant that could offer to monitor he dispersed degrees of Leucaena leucocephala and to understand the tendency of dispersal in Kenting National Park. The results showed that the dispersion of Leucaena leucocephala increased by aerial photo interpretation. We used the GER1500 spectrometer to measure the spectrum reflection of Leucaena eucocephala and adsorbing species (Broussonetia papyrifera, Macaranga tanarius,
Acacia confusa, Casuarina equisetifolia) from March to December, 2005.We found
the charactrstics of spectrum that was different between Leucaena leucocephala and other adsorbing species. Mean while, we used the remote sensing data of
FORMOSAT-II to estimate the NDVI and used the LAI-2000 to measure the LAI of
Leucaena leucocephala in field. The relationship of NDVI and LAI was fitted by
regression mode LAI=6.3416NDVI1.4800 (R2=0.5104) it was used to establish the
distribution map of Leucaena leucocephala. This mode would be used to monitor the dispersion degree for Leucaena leucocephala in Kenting National Park.
