Canine distemper virus(CDV)causes generalized infection in dogs with prominent respiratory, gastrointestinal and nervous signs. Not only dogs, CDV can infect other carnivores, ferret, mink, and marine mammals...and so on. CDV is classified into the Morbillivirus genus of the family Paramyxoviridae. CDV is an enveloped virus with single-stranded, non-segmented, and negative-sense RNA. It is a highly contagiously pathogen distributed worldwide.Based on previous research, we find the data which focuses on molecular mechanism of apoptosis in the animal by CDV is few. And there are few researches that only explore Caspase-3/-8/-9 in the caspase-dependent pathway. This research is to deeply understand caspase-dependent related pathway (such as JNK, cytochrome C, and so on) and explores upstream and downstream relationship of participating proteins. We also study on CDV-induced apoptosis in unexplored caspase-independent pathway and related molecules (such as AIF, Endo G,...and so on). The results show that CDV induced apoptosis though caspase-independent pathway and caspase-dependent pathway in HeLa cell.
